As an open access journal, (e-ISSN 3005-9070, p-ISSN 3005-9062), founded by Western Caspian University in 2023, covers a wide range of topics. from various fields of biodiversity research, life sciences, geosciences, molecular biology and genetics, wildlife ecology and biology to various aspects of biodiversity conservation.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The electronic version of Biodiversity Journal is an open access journal and all content is freely available. Each published paper will be uploaded immediately to the electronic version of the journal in pdf format, and disseminated with an open access policy.  More in detail, the Journal allows readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of its articles and allows readers to use them for any other lawful purpose.

Authors are particularly encouraged to submit concise, clearly written papers focused on precisely framed questions. Article formats include provocative Guest Editorials, Featured papers, short Notes and Correspondence, submissions of which are encouraged alongside standard research papers (Original Articles). Featured papers are papers of broad interest (review) or tools for biodiversity studies (Keys, Check List, &c). Journal of Endemism: biodiversity & environment is a peer-reviewed, open-access, rapidly disseminated journal.

Papers are published both online and in the traditional printed format. All papers published in Journal of Endemism: biodiversity & environment can be freely copied, downloaded, printed and distributed at no charge for the reader.

Authors may retain all other rights on their works and are thus encouraged to post the pdf files of published papers on their homepages or elsewhere to expedite distribution.
